Please allow me to introduce myself, ahead of a hopeful catch up on the afternoon of Friday 10 June.
My name is Matt Want. Here is my LinkedIn profile. I would be honoured to help Boali Lodge with its marketing throughout 2016 and beyond, in line with the Marketing Coordinator role you’ve advertised on Seek.
I launched Focosme at the beginning of this year to help small to medium sized businesses with their marketing. Businesses that know they need more marketing and admin support, but don’t have the internal resources, time or expertise to do so themselves. Especially in the dynamic world of digital & social media. Business owners that need to focus on growing their business and serving their customers, rather than tinkering with websites and social media accounts.
Prior to that, I was Marketing Manager at Spartan: one of the world’s leading manufacturers of cricket gear. During my time there, as a hobby I also developed a client base of friends, and friends of friends, that needed help with websites and marketing for their small businesses.
Spending some time in the Snowy Mountains had long been a goal of my wife and I, so late last year we decided to move from our home in North Manly to Jindabyne whilst the kids were still young (7 and 4).
Creating Focosme allowed me to do this. It also allowed me to help a range of businesses and great people. Plus it allowed me to develop a passionate, dedicated team that can all work from home and achieve their goals.

PREVIOUS ROLE: MARKETING MANAGER, SPARTAN SPORTS
One of the world’s most popular cricket brands, sponsoring players like Michael Clarke, Mitchell Johnson, and Chris Gayle. Also one of Australia’s leading suppliers to netball, rugby league, rugby union and soccer clubs.
- Marketing strategy and tactical execution including sponsorship, digital assets and social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube).
- Led the redesign and migration of the global brand site spartansports.com.au, improving functionality and increased monthly traffic by 150%.
- Development and launch of a membership program – Spartan Cricket Club – securing over 3,000 free & paid members in its first week.
- Organise video and photo shoots for TVCs, website, digital and advertising content.
- Club, school and promotional/corporate sales.
- Concept, planning and delivery of the 2015 Spartan North Sydney Leisure and Lifestyle Festival, attended by over 10,000 people.
